About me: 

I am a former high school and college theatre educator and ongoing performing arts professional. I love serving students as an Academic Advisor, because my passions are student access and success in Higher Education. I struggled early on in my college path, and community college helped me overcome obstacles and achieve my goals, including a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I aim to provide student-centered support and help students in accomplishing their academic and professional goals.  
 
When I am not working with students, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening, hiking, model railroading, following Chicago Cubs baseball and Nebraska Cornhuskers and Green Bay Packers football, and all things Star Wars. I have a daughter recently graduated from college and a son starting college soon. In my spare time, I volunteer as a member of the Creative Placemaking Commission for the City of Bloomington, and I continue to be a singer and theatre artist.
