Kayce Vang
How I got to Normandale was not a straight path. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Ministry from University of Northwestern - St. Paul in 2011. I always knew I wanted to help people but not sure where. I just knew I did not want to limit myself to one demographic area. My sister recommended education and working with children specifically. I rejected that idea but reconsider it since I needed a job. I stayed in Education and worked in TRIO (College Access Programs) while earning my Masters in Youth Development Leadership. I worked closely with K-12 secondary students. Being a teenager is hard. Big feelings, Big dreams, Big expectations from life. I enjoy working with this age group. My passion is not only to guide them in their academia paths but also their self-esteem. I transitioned to Normandale Community College as the PSEO Advisor in Jan. 2022.
In my free time (if I have any), I enjoy reading (mostly) non-fictional, learn new recipes, and catch up on TV shows.
