About me:
I graduated from University of Northwestern – St. Paul, MN (was Northwestern College back in 2000s) with a degree in Ministry. After 5 years of working in public schools K-12, I decided to take a break and joined a non-profit organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and lived in Baja California, Ensenada, for 6 months.
After this I started at Century College as a TRIO ETS Advisor. TRIO ETS is a college preparatory program for underrepresented high school students to help participants learn about careers, college and financial aid, complete high school and admitted to and ultimately graduate from postsecondary programs. I enjoy working with high school students because this is an important time to foster their sense of identity, support their social and emotional well-being. I then went on to complete my Masters in Youth Development Leadership at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. And now, I'm a Academic Advisor at Normandale Community College.
In my free time I like to snuggle with my daughter, cook new recipes, play computer games, read, and work on Legos.
