About me:
I started working at Normandale in December 2010 and have worked through a variety of stages of the student journey, including admissions, registration, advising health science students and financial services.I am extremely passionate about education and equity. I truly believe that every student should have access to the tools and resources to ensure that they are successful. My approach to advising is student-centered and collaborative. I believe that my role as an Academic Advisor is to serve as a guide for students so that we can develop a plan for them to be successful at Normandale and beyond. I think it is super important that students have a voice in their education because they know themselves better than anyone else.I have a BS in Math Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and an MBA from Metropolitan State University. If I wasn’t an academic advisor, I would be a middle school math teacher.When I’m not at work, I’m learning Spanish and love watching reality television, like Survivor and Big Brother.
