Licensed Professional Counselor, mental health counseling, crisis intervention, career development, academic planning, teaching Career Exploration (CCD 1170) and Paths to College Success (NCC 1000), certified Mental Health First Aid trainer
I teach students to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness and how and where to seek out mental health services. Relationships can be the best part of life but they can also be hard. I teach students to advocate for themselves and how to communicate. I guide students through the career decision making process and choosing a major that will get them to their goals. I am qualified to give students a variety of career assessment instruments. I provide quality academic advising and enjoy helping students write course plans that show what they will take each semester. I value education and encourage students to earn their college degree. I earned a master’s degree in Counseling: College Student Development from Minnesota State University Mankato. I am licensed by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
