My Specialties:

academic counseling, career exploration/counseling, teaching the CCD 1170 Career Exploration course, personal/mental health counseling in areas such as stress, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, life transitions, sadness, and relationship challenges. 

About me:

I've worked at Normandale a long time, first with the TRIO Upward Bound program, helping high school students become the first in their families to pursue a college education. Then, as a Counselor, I have seen the power of working with the whole student, addressing academic, career, and personal counseling/mental health needs. Education can lead to a better life, and I want to help students reach their goals and develop their confidence and potential. The challenges of life can interfere with educational goals, and I want to help students learn how to address these challenges by building on their strengths and learning to use helpful strategies and resources. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the State of Minnesota.
