Writing with Integrity Workshop
How can you maintain your academic integrity in the age of AI? Did you know that it is possible (and easy) to accidentally plagiarize? This workshop helps build your understanding of why and how to avoid plagiarism, misuse of AI tools, and other violations of academic integrity while writing. We discuss how to keep track of sources while researching; which kinds of information require citations and which don't; and how to paraphrase, quote, and cite sources. We also discuss how to avoid AI tools when they are not allowed on an assignment, and how to acknowledge and cite them when they are permitted. Please bring a writing assignment you are working on.
