“Will
I be proctored by a live person?”
No. When you register to take
your proctored test on campus, you are signing up for a private, quiet space that has a desktop computer. (You may bring and use your own laptop if you prefer it.) You
will use the proctoring software selected by your instructor for your test. You
will not be proctored by a live person.
“For how long can I reserve a
testing space?”
Testing rooms are reserved in
90-minute blocks of time. Please remember to allow time for logging in to your
computer and accessing your test. If you are concerned that 90 minutes will not
be enough time or your test is scheduled to take longer than 90 minutes, sign
up for two consecutive blocks of time – for example, 8:00 – 9:30 and 10:00 –
11:30. The 30-minute block of time between reservations is to allow for cleaning
of the rooms between students as part of our COVID-19 safety protocols, so you
may simply continue with your test.
“How far in advance can I reserve a
space?”
You can reserve a space up to fourteen
days in advance.
“How far in advance must I reserve a
space?”
Because of the necessary planning that is
part of our campus COVID-19 safety protocols, you do need to plan ahead. Please
make your reservation at least 26 hours in advance.
“Can I just walk in without a reservation
and take my test?
Regrettably, no. Because of the necessary
planning that is part of our campus COVID-19 safety protocols, you do need to
plan ahead. Please make your reservation at least 26 hours in advance.
“Where do I go on campus to take my
test?”
The test proctoring rooms are located just inside the entrance to the library. Please go to the library and check in at the circulation desk. A library staff member will then direct you to your testing room. (Please note that you will not be assigned a specific space when you register - this happens behind the scenes.)
Also, everyone who comes to
campus is required to abide by all COVID-19 safety protocols, https://www.normandale.edu/coronavirus-information. Normandale requires all students, employees, and visitors to wear a mask when indoors at Normandale facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
